CalcLaunch is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our calculators and website.
Conformance Status
CalcLaunch aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Accessibility Features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
Keyboard Navigation: All calculator inputs and buttons are accessible via keyboard navigation. Users can tab through form fields and activate buttons using the Enter or Space key.
Screen Reader Compatibility: Our calculators use semantic HTML with appropriate labels for all form inputs, making them compatible with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Color Contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for all text and interactive elements, exceeding WCAG AA requirements.
Responsive Design: All calculators function fully on devices of any size, from mobile phones to desktop monitors, without loss of functionality.
Text Scaling: Our interface supports browser text scaling up to 200% without loss of functionality or content overlap.
No Time Limits: Our calculators do not impose time limits on user interactions. Users can take as long as needed to enter their information.
Clear Error Messages: When required inputs are missing or invalid, we provide clear, descriptive error messages that identify the issue.
Known Limitations
We are currently working to improve the following areas:
- Chart visualizations in our calculators do not yet include full text alternatives for screen reader users. We are adding descriptive text summaries of chart data.
- Some complex calculator tables may be difficult to navigate with older assistive technologies. We are reviewing and improving table markup.
